iOS 16.7.8 build 20H343 is the official RTM build of iOS 16.7.8, which was released to the public on 13 May 2024.[1] Prior to that, it was released six days earlier as the official Release Candidate build to Apple developers and public beta testers.[2] It is only available for devices that are incapable of running iOS 17 or newer.

This build is a security update that patches existing vulnerabilities with the Foundation (CVE-2024-27789) and RTKit (CVE-2024-23296).
